Bridges Foundation Calls for Change in Immigration Policy

On June 19, shortly before President Trump signed an executive order promising to keep families together in migrant detentions, the Bridges Foundation sent this letter calling for the change.

President Donald Trump

Washington, DC  20500

Dear Mr. President,

We, the Bridges Foundation Board in St. Louis, Missouri, implore you to change your no tolerance policy against immigrants crossing the Mexican border and coming into the United States.

Please issue an order immediately to stop separating young children from their parents.  The family is the core to a civilized society. As a country, we need to uphold our American values and to respect human dignity.

We urge you to veto any future immigration bill that allows families to be separated.

Sincerely,

The Bridges Foundation Board
