Presenter: Fr. Michael Dooley, SJ, director of vocations for the Jesuit Central and Southern Province.

Fr. Michael Dooley is a native of New Orleans, LA. He currently serves as the vocation director for the Jesuits of the Central and Southern Province. He did theology studies at the Weston School of Theology (now the Boston College School of Theology and Ministry) and graduate work in education at B.C. For over 20 years he ministered in Jesuit high schools as a teacher, campus minister and coordinator of faculty spiritual development. He has also served as assistant novice director and in various capacities on the provincial staff. In addition to Jesuit vocation ministry and other pastoral ministries in Saint Louis, he enjoys gardening, cooking, puzzles and (in pre-COVID days) occasionally enjoyed Cardinals’ games and St. Louis Symphony concerts.

About: The Marketplace Spirituality Retreat is for 2021-22 Bridges retreatants, as well as for others — as space permits — who have at some point completed the Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius Loyola.

The in-person retreat includes refreshments on Friday evening and Continental breakfast and a box lunch on Saturday.

Limited overnight accommodations are available on Friday, April 8 at the Motherhouse. There are 21 rooms available, including four double rooms for couples/friends ($100) and 17 single rooms ($60). Most rooms do not have private baths but share nearby facilities. Rooms with private baths are available on a first come, first served basis. Additionally, we will give preference for overnight accommodations to anyone coming from out of town.

On Saturday, April 30 from 10 a.m. to noon (CT), an online version of the retreat will be offered for those not able to attend in person, utilizing video from the April 8-9 event and live dialogue and reflection with other participants and prayer companions.
