Prayer Companion Christy Hicks Aydt Featured on Two Websites

Bridges prayer companion Christy Hicks Aydt was recently featured on two websites focused on women’s spirituality.

She was the featured preacher for the Third Sunday of Easter for the website, “Catholic Women Preach,” giving insight into the encounter with the risen Christ on the road to Emmaus. You can view her homily here: https://www.catholicwomenpreach.org/preaching/04182021

Additionally, Christy was a guest blogger on Molleen Dupree Dominguez’ blog, authoring a post on the spirituality of the Beguine community of women, a movement that emerged in the coastal regions of Europe in the twelfth century. You can read her post here: https://molleendupreedominguez.com/2021/04/13/beguines/

In addition to being a Bridges prayer companion, Christyis a campus minister at Saint Louis University and a spiritual director. Though her studies have been through the lens of Catholic-Christian faith and thought, she reverences the faith and beauty other traditions share. Eastern spirituality and culture have gifted her with a more expansive image of God. Christy lives in St. Louis with her husband and family. She holds a master of arts in pastoral studies from the University of Dayton and received certification in spiritual direction and preaching training from Aquinas Institute of Theology.
